After hearing about Google Docs from other people and completing a Google Doc form for class awards, I was interested in seeing how easy it would be to set up a google doc and to learn about how they could be used within the classroom.
I have watched the videos provided and actually set up a Google form myself, which I shared with another teacher and her class. I am interested to see the results of the form and to show the children in my class.
I have learnt that Google Docs provides an avenue for children and teachers to create, edit, store, share, and collaborate on line. Google Docs allows access from any computer, where children and teachers can work together on an online document, no emails are sent back and forth to people and they automatically save changes. Google Docs also allows children to publish their work online, therefore giving them an audience to display their work.

Module 2
Module 2
Module 2 discusses the benefits of using blogs and twitter within the classroom. From this module I have discovered that blogs allow communication between several people and blogs are able to be linked together by people with common interests. Blogs enable people to leave comments on other people's pages.
Twitter is a way to communicate short messages to a wide audience. I have learnt that adding a hash tag allows a class to communicate efficiently with one another, instead of allowing everyone to see the conversation or discussion.
Both blogs and twitter are Web 2 tools that create a platform for news, discussions and ideas to be shared.
From watching the videos and visiting the different blogs, I can easily see the benefits of blogs and twitter within the classroom. However, it has made me wonder how I am able to incorporate blogs and twitter within my Kindergarten classroom.
